What is the difference between the yzf 600 and r6?

is it the sitting position?

I think he means the YZF-600r and R6. Not sure if he realizes there are also two types of R6. R6 and R6s. All three are different bikes. I would say the YZF-600r is more like a Katana (GSX-600) to the GSXR-600. It has more comforable riding position, engine isn't as strong.

the yzf r6s is the continued older version of the r6 since 2006 when the re designed r6 came out.

The YZF600R was made from 94-07 and I guess you could say it's the predecessor to the R6. It sits a little bit more like a sport touring compared to the R6 which is more hunched over and sporty of a riding style, but the 600R is still considered supersport.

R6 came out in i think 99 or 2000 and it makes more power than the YZF600R but I'm not sure exactly how much.

Also the R6 is on wheels. I want!

The yzf 600 was a "super sport 600" in its day. Not just literbikes are supersport bikes either.
