Thumbs up A place for bikers on Wednesday and Sunday night...

Ok, so i need all of yalls help! Im doing a project in school, and were starting a "Pretend" business, and we decided to do a sports bar. I wanted to know if this was an actual business that we were starting, how would yall feel about that sports bar having menu specials for bikers on wednesday and sunday nights when we all go on runs. That way we dont have to meet at an over crowded starbucks, and even better, YOU CAN ACTUALLY STAND IN THE PARKING LOT BY YOUR BIKE!! lol! There would also be pool tables and lots of tv's with UFC fights and sport events ect...showing on them. So lemmie know if this sounds like a cool idea or sumthin yall wud be interested in! The place would be located right down the street from Reliant Stadium on Kirby. This idea could also become reality, so all types of feed back and ideas are welcome!! Thanx and ride safe!!

Most UFC fights are on Saturday nights. A fun thing to do would be get a bunch of xbox/ps3's linked and have race nights on multiple screens with multiple contestants. My friends used to have Halo turnaments like that at their bar. Also, then they were then sponsored my microsoft.

Ok, its a sports bar, but
1) doesnt mean that bikers HAVE to drink
2) Bikers should be responsible with alcohol
3) Half price menu Items EXCEPT alcohol of course! lol
4) It wont be strictly UFC fights, obviously we'd research and see what people wud wanna watch. UFC is jus a start!

It would also be open everday. Wednesday and Sunday nights would jus be specials for bikers, cuz we all know thats when alot of us ride the most!

Do ya'll in Houston still have decent bike nights at sonic? I went two weeks ago and not one person at Sonic. What a waste of time other than the ride over there.

Back to the original post when we tore up Corpus streets none of the riders/stunters drank AT ALL. Seems silly to do a 100 mph wheelie after you had some beers.

Do ya'll do like a group ride after the meet? Say at 11:00 with less cagers on the road?

Yeah but as a bar owner that would not be good for business. You will find that while you may make $.50 per burger your margin on alcohol is quite a bit more. Think about it. Buy the bottle for $8 sell 28 $3 drinks. That is roughly $70 profit per bottle after costs.

Naw, I could see it not being good for a bar. That is why you should cater to harley dudes they drink like fish and ride drunk as skunks but at least they go really really slow.

Ok, maybe the name BAR is kinda confusing to some people! It wouldnt be concentrated on STRICTLY alcohol, there would be other things also, like the Playstations/ WIIs and pool tables, food to generate revenue! So instead of saying sports bar, Maybe i should say...Sports LOUNGE! LOL! Trust me the Alcohol is takin into consideration! We rode to places where they serve alcohol to bikers, so dont beat me up on the subject! it jus comes along with the idea! And besides, bikers wouldnt be the ONLY customers there!

I don't want you to think I was getting on ya. It sounds like a good idea in general. I have 3 groups of friends in Austin that have opened up sports bars. They work really well. Just for "bike nights" you will need to have other activities directed at bikers. Like having Xbox MotoGp tournaments, stunter contests, or gear fashion shows. Just a few ideas spinning in my head.
