Can these systems really withstand the roughness of bikes? I'd hate to be doing wheelies and my lojack vibrates itself broken and not be working the whole time. :eh:

They have been very well tested, they are NOT the same unit used in cars.

Might not stop em, but at least you have a chance of getting your bike back.
Patrick, you guys should set out a few decoy bikes to test the unit and maybe get some of these theives off the streets.

if the bike is stolen within the first 2 years of your lojack purchase and they do not find it within 24 hours after it is reported stolen, LOJACK will reemburse you for your unit. i was talking with the lowjack guy saturday and as of right now they have 90% recovery rate, and the average time of recovery is 18 minutes. thats a national average so i'm sure times vary.

also this unit doesnt put off any sound and it is very easy to look over. if the thiefs dont know to look for it they probably wont, and 18 minutes or anywhere close to that isnt a lot of time to tear a bike down.
