Got health but the deductible is 2,500 and max out of pocket is 5,000. My full coverage bike insurance also has a 5,000 medical bill pay built in, so if I get a few scrapes and have to get a few x-rays it should be paid for completely, but if I have something huge then I'll be paying up to 5k! I have dental and vision too.

Since I'm single and no kids, I don't need life insurance. But I do have health insurance plus disability and long term care that will pay someone to come in and cook, clean and wash me if needed.

....

:Wow. Fairly impressive guys!! As most of you obviously know getting hurt ain't cheap. If you do not have insurance the system will get you better but not get you back on your feet. Rehab is very costly as is all the equipment/suppiles that might be needed to aid you as you heal. I'm not saying that those who ride without at least some medical coverage are idiots but they are playing a risky game. Even if you had the minimal coverage with a high deduct. you would still get much better care IMHO. I look at it this way. If you can afford to spend thousands of dollars on gear that should protect you in a crash, why not invest a little more in yourself and guarantee the best medical care possible. That's all....debra aka 2slo (yep, I'm a girl )
