Angry another rider down right in front of police!?!?

i had a friend get hit from behind two nights ago. he rides a harley and was sitting at a light (harley = no gear) and a rav 4 slammed into him from behind and shot him across the intersection.

there were two cop cars at the intersection crossing the opposite way at the 4 way stop!!!! my buddy said he heard the rav4 revving and getting ready to come at him again and was trying to roll out of the way but the cops snatched the driver out at gunpoint. the driver was sooo hammered that he couldn't even stand up straight.

the good news is that so far it only (f*kn only??) looks like he has some back aches. Somehow- actually we all know by the grace of - he walked away...... he actually was able to hobble out of the ER yesterday morning and go home.

i've been riding in houston since 88 and i've Never seen it this bad!! what gives??? please people, stay aware and ride safe, there are entirely too many RIP threads and too many families and friends missing good people.....

Stay aware, and be aware of the fact that after midnight is the drunk hours.

glad your buddy is ok. I feel for him. I got rear ended at a stop light a few years ago. It pays to watch behind you.

I don't ride late at night on weekends and holidays....especially on Westheimer. It's a freakin mad-house. People just drive like they have the proverbial HUA.

I don't drive past midnight in my car let alone ride my bike. Too many drunks on the road ...

Glad your friend made it out relatively fine. RAV4 ... sheesh ... good thing it wasn't a suburban.

i just talked to my friend and he's doing pretty good. in a lot of pain but in grand condition considering the situation. his back is sore and he has a bruised tailbone. we're gonna hang out at allstars today and celebrate the fact that he walked away and he's here to tell his own story.

everyone's welcome to stop by. have a good and safe day.

I still ride at night. Most of the time alone when I break off to go home (live the furthest out of everyone). I think that one day this will happen to me.

Glad he is ok!

I had been rear ended too... not a pleasant experience; especially hit and run from a drunk driver.

Be careful out there guys!
