If you need a few more hands Lurch just pm me I'd be glad to help. On a side note and just out of my own curiosity does anybody ever check the group for M endorsement and insurance?? I never have but it doesn't seem like an outlandish request..

A little early to committ fully, but I'll be tentative for now. As long as there are no "M endorsement / Insurance" pre ride checks.

That type stuff is none of my business and I want no part of it.

on this ride and speeds should be a non-issue.. on more brisk rides I like to know who around me may bolt...

Katy peeps, offer up an easy on/off meet spot. We are headed out I-10 towards Brookshire. I am familiar with the Fry area, so-so on Mason, not so much on 99.. or even more out towards Katy proper. I do know where Martel Bros and the Kawasaki dealer and Katy Mills is.

There is a strip center on the side of 99, just South of I-10.. what do y'all think?

I know part of the idea of this is to keep the group small, I'll be riding that day anyway and wouldn't mind helping out so if you need me just shoot me a PM Jim.

Put your name on the list; we'll be happy to have you along.. and not all the helpers know for sure if they can make it.

For those wondering what the plan is..

This is going to be an easy, slow, relaxed ride to show everyone the basics of riding a curvy country road. If you took the MSF and have some miles under your belt, you'll enjoy it. There will be no part where anyone should feel any pressure or have trouble on the roads.

We'll start off over going over the basic group ride rules and signals, and basic body position on a sport bike (hopefully someone has one since I don't). We'll also try and point out what to look for and how to approach curves. I also will make sure everyone understands what countersteering is.

Then we'll head out to some backroads with curves and take our time learning and practicing. Noobs and helpers will be mixed in so everyone can get a feel for it. Ask plenty of questions, keep an open mind, and above all HAVE FUN with it!!

This is not a class, I am not the teacher; just a group of friends enjoying a ride and swapping riding tips and hints...

Oh, and the added benefit of a free Poser Class from the famous NoFear.. that alone is worth the price of admission!!!

thanks to those who volunteered!

please, if anyone changes their minds or cannot make it, post on this thead or PM me.

And remember, this is going to be a very relaxed and easy ride. Won't be any high speeds or stunting, just a nice ride in the country.

Other request I have is for everyone to check their tire pressures and arrive with a full tank.

...and still looking for suggestions on a meet spot, easy on/off I-10, around Mason/99. I know there is a strip center off the 99 feeder, just south of I-10. It has a big game room/bowling alley and I think a bank? Is that good for everyone?
