I'd say get some good riding boots. Mine were only $70 brand new and I have no complaints.

dump the bluetooth, you need to concentrate on riding vs talking, this ain't a car and taking your concentration away from riding can/does result in death vs a fender bender.

reads like you have alot of things for the same purpose.

2 back packs?
4 jackets?

spend the $ on quality equip, my 1 summer jacket was $350, it's the only 1 i ride w/ if it rains i get wet. 1 helmet, mine was $600+

my list

1 helmet
2 jackets, summer & winter
1 pair of boots
2 pairs of gloves S/W

are you commuting every day? do you have a car?

You can never have too much gear... unless you are wearing all that at once. Gear is like mods, they never end. BUT you should invest in some boots and pants. If you are really serious about having gear, that should already be on the list. You don't even want to see how much I've collected.

It is important to accessorize the color of your gear not just to the color of the bike you are riding that day but also your mood.

I have alot of extra gear and tends to be used by friends. which is better then them having nothing, I figure. My nice jacket I don't wear in the summer since its so hot; I dress for how I plan to ride that day or weather/traffic conditions. On overnight, long rides its full leathers/protection.

Let's see.

--Frank Thomas Leather Jacket
--Cortech jeans with some interesting pockets in the knees holding some extra knee protection. Iffy on these though, the sit well below my knees when i'm standing. Hopefully *IF* i ever take a spill, they get in the right spot. New pants coming soon regardless.
--A* gloves. Think the model is SMX? Thinking I want some longer gloves, since these don't cover my wrist at all. Took a spill a few years ago on my old Aprilia scooter. Was only going 30, but the side of my arm, and everywhere on my hand and wrist that had a bone point was rashed. I didn't enjoy that at all. lol
--Scorpion Burst (700) Helmet with tinted screen
--Sidi Vertigo boots. I love them, and by far the best investment I've made so far. Kinda weird walking around in them, but riding, they're great. I definitely don't worry about my feet getting hurt if I fall.

Summer jacket coming soon hopefully, and a better jacket. The FT doesn't have a back protector, but has a pocket for it which I really need to take advantage of soon. New pants coming soon (recommendations?)
