I passed by and noticed the bike was demolished. It looked like the biker ran into the back of a SUV at a high rate of speed. From the condition of the bike, it looks like a fatality.

The bike was a gray R1 that was in pieces and on fire and the trunk on the car was pushed into the back seat. The rider must have hit the car doing well over 100mph. He did have a helmet on but due to the rate of speed/ wearing it improperly it came off during the crash. The rider was transported to the hospital where they pronounced him deceased. Details of the incident are still under investigation. It is unknown if it is alcohol related at this time.
RIP

Motorcyclist Killed in Fiery Crash, Woman Injured in Second Accident

Last Edited: Friday, 04 Jul 2008, 7:30 AM CDT
Created: Friday, 04 Jul 2008, 7:30 AM CDT

HOUSTON -- Houston police are trying to figure out the cause of a bizarre accident overnight that left one person dead and triggered a second accident that seriously injured another.

It happened early Friday on the 610 Loop at Fannin when a motorist slowed down after discovering the scene of a fatal motorcycle accident. A wrecked bike was on fire and lying in the road with its motionless driver nearby.

A few seconds later, a second vehicle drove onto the scene at a high rate of speed and slammed into the back of the first driver. She was seriously injured and transported to the hospital in stable condition.

The driver of the offending vehicle, who police say may have been under the influence, fled the scene and was arrested a short time later near the Astrodome.

Investigators do not know how the first crash with the motorcycle occurred.

I actually was one of the first people to stop. Couldn't help him at all. He was lying really awkward and no one wanted to move him. We was breathing for a little while but stopped before EMS came. I stopped because i'd say it happened about 10 secs before I started running over some of his parts. I was in the White BMW 335. Another car stopped far back and was hit by another car. That other car took off after hitting that lady.

May he rest in peace.
