FYI when I go I sign up with NESBA.com they don't have any BS rules about starting in novice and bumping up and they run an LSTD level event.

What are the cons of doing a trackday with SBTT?

Someone else mentioned the NESBA events and how their procedure works.
Is it because of that?

Just curious....

Dang HOP didn't know ya'll were going then. A bunch of us from Corpus are going Oct 12 and 13th with nesba. We chose them again because we already paid the $75 member fee. You are going to LOVE it. Make sure you plan a day to do the museum you will need the whole day to check it out. Very impressive. And the track is nothing short of AWESOME!!!

Had a couple of events with SBTT and was not impressed at all, actually, I was thinking of leaving early and asking for my money back. I'm not going to jack the thread and post up about "pros and cons". That's my opinion though, and I'm sure everyone will have a great time there.

I was more impressed by NESBA and the way they run their events, and would go to another NESBA event.

Bill, I may be down for the October event if we don't have anything going on.

Cool. I really liked NESBA other than the no passing rule on the control riders. The rule is they don't want you passsing them unless they wave you by. Kind of a pain, because I would come up them and not know what to do and it held me us some. But Bill Sheets gave me some good advice he said when you come up on them look like you are going to run into the back of them with a very agressive look and they will wave your right on by. Worked great.

The other thing is they will only let you sign up with intermediate which wasn't that bad because you could tell there was alot of avanced riding in that group too. It wasn't too bad because we were learning the track but now that we have done it maybe they will move us to advanced.

But other than those two things it was a very good trackday organization. It went very smoothly and nobody even bitched at me for wheeling the pit straight.
