My first new/used sport bike - another girl rider

Hi all, well another Woman driver will soon be on the streets. My husband bought me my first Street bike. I have always rode Dirt bikes and 4 wheelers growing up. I have always enjoyed riding sport bikes but never driven one. So call me a novice sport bike driver now. For my first starter bike he bought me, upon agreement, a bike that would fit my tiny frame body . . . a 1993 Suzuki GSF400 Bandit.

I took my first big step yesterday evening and rode my STREET bike for the first time. I was a bit nervous but all went well. I only rode around in the yard (Soft grass in case I fell, ha ha ha ha) didn't want to mess up the bike, ya right, so I could get the feel of it as again, I have only driven Dirt bikes and Four wheelers. So because I was raised on those types of bikes a bad habit immediately came out when I turned the bike in tight areas, I would automatically put my foot down when turning the bike, with my husband screaming at me across the yard of course to put my feet back on the pegs and use my body for balance in turning. So I have a lot of habits to break and new changes to learn. Husband says I will get better once I am able to get on the street with it in time but that will be awhile yet as I have to go take the course and get the Motorcycle Drivers License before I can officially hit the street.

In the mean time, I will continue to enjoy my fun 2up rides with hubby, as well as we also have been staring at my bike and want to make many cosmetic changes to it to make it look MORE sporty looking.

So after I get road ready, if anyone ever gets any rides together in North Houston for us Novice riders to ride slow and use practice time, let me know, he he he he

EH! If Sean comes with us and they are under our supervision I thought it would be ok. We can wait 'till she get legal though for sure.
