Seriously, I doubt JB Weld would hold it very long.

I had some double bubble (aircraft grade epoxy)on my M4 before....I dont know if they sale it at a hardware store...but it worked like a charm...

The technical name is B 1/2 or B B1/4--i think..i never ordered it cuz we always stocked it in the shop...

Once I cut that down, I will cut the can down as well to fit the new sized exhaust, which would eliminate the holes as I would cut off that portion.

If I cut the can then I would have to cut that inner pipe to make it shorter. But just cutting it will not work, as that at end is what the tip of the canister bolts up to.

So without moving that further down, I would not be able to bolt everything up.

JB Weld will very likely not hold to the carbon fiber.

I have cut many 'a M4 can down, including the carbon can. You must measure carefully when cutting the inner baffle, and it's a pain getting the packing back in afterward.

FWIW, almost all makers will sell you just the outer can. Usually cheap too.

If you like the way it sounds and looks, I'd just order a outer can from Micron. You could even get an aluminum or stainless if you want, they're more durable than the carbon cans in my experience.

JB weld will hold the baffle i understaand what your doing, and jb weld will work. Just make sure you prep it real good. If its like mine there are like 4 tacks holding the to the baffle. you should be able to cut those tacks and slide the off.

Nada.... cut the section out that you want, save about four inches from the flare end. Cut a one inch slip on both tubes, on the side and the exhaust side(opposing sides so they dont meet.)

Then slide the side over the exhaust side. If the inside tube bends in, use a pry bar or long extension to push it back. Rivot the assembly together with snowmobile rivots then slide and bolt your exterior case on.

JB weld and heat is not a good combination. Alot of muffler tips have fell victim to this idea.

JB Weld will not work. Temperature range only goes to 500 degrees. You can expect exhaust temps to reach 1000.

Just run that chit with no can, strait pipe, or from the header. It will be loud, but is an easy fix for your problem until you get it replaced.

If you want to wait until next weekend when I get back in town, I'll give you a hand with it. We can cut/weld/rivet/tie wrap/JB Weld or whatever combination it needs...

Looks like the is just spotwelded so that is the way I would put it back on.

Just let me know.. Fri-Sat July 11-12 is open for me, I plan to ride Sunday.

Thanks for the advice everyone. And thanks for the offers Cali and Tex. I will get with you sometime after tomorrow if I still need to get it done. I am calling Micron tomorrow to see if they can sell me a replacement sleeve and how much it will cost. If it is to ridiculous of a price I will just cut it.

Whats wrong with my license plate? You don't like the zip ties holding it on?.....lol
