That exact thing happend to a buddy of mine about a two months ago. He was riding his Soft tail heritage classic, when a drunk driver turned left in front of him.

how does this guy not see him. He has 3 giant head lights!

of a way to start the day. I was the first Officer there and had to investigate the "accident". He was DRT when I got there. 'Definately not a pretty sight. The biker was on a 05 HD Sportster. He had that new Harley-D FXRG (Like an HJC AC-11) carbon-fiber helmet that I will say did it's job. The damage to the rider was a destroyed pelvis and innards. The accident wasn't his fault (DUH!) and the other driver is being charged but, it's till under investigation. Sometimes I hate... HATE my job. There's nothing worse than explaining to a family, wife or husband that someone they love and care about isn't coming home. I thought about what went through his mind that morning. 'Just putting on his socks and shoes to go to work......

I rode my bike to work yesterday and I have to say it was real hard swinging my leg over the seat to finally go home. I rode again today and will keep riding. 'It's things like this that'll scare the outa you and a reminder that we're not invincible.
