Just checking in...

Hey all. Not new to riding or forums, but I am new to this particular site, so I thought I would introduce myself. My name is Jerad, and I live in Brenham, and I just moved to a GSX-R1000 from a Daytona 955i. Hopefully I can meet some people that like to ride, and can understand why I am always in so much gear.....even in town Since most people that even have helmets around here just use them as rear end jewelery

Welcome!

I am always having folks (even motorcyclists) asking 'Aren't you HOT in that gear?'

My reply is always 'Yeah...but it doesn't burn nearly as hot as roadrash does.'

I always say, "our body's meant to sweat, not bleed."

Thanks for the hospitality. And it is definitely nice to see some other riders that prefer to sweat rather than bleed.

I look forward to riding 'yall sometime. Do you guys have a list somewhere of the rules you follow on group rides? I have never really found a group to find with before, always solo, so I would like to learn some etiquette.

Yep, mostly kids. Got behind one the other day wearing loosely fitted shoes, wind shorts, short sleeve shirt, and a hat, on a gixxer 750. That is going to hurt one of these days. He was messing around gunning it, spinning the tire, and stuff too Darwin, thinning the herd, etc.
