Motorcycle Battery.....Newbie.

I just bought a new battery for my bike. I put the battery acid and everything, but do I have to charge my battery for 6 hrs? cuz I don't have a battery charger. And, how long will my battery last if I don't charge it..... newbie speaking.

not if you put it together yourself, if you pour the acid then you have to charge it.

need to let the acid set for couple of hours.. then charging it would be better. but if not.. just put it in and ride it till it charges... good luck.

take it to O'reillys and they'll charge it for free. It really needs to be charged, or go for a 6-hr ride

it WILL start, but it's not good at all for the battery. Charging it will make your battery life longer, it will hold more of a charge, etc. Also Omega - Cyclegear should have filled and charged the battery for you. At least that was 'how I rolled' when I worked there.
