2008 ZX10R vs 2008 CBR1000RR

I know this is an age old topic here: but I'm looking at getting another bike. I'm torn between the new 2008 Kawasaki ZX10R or the 2008 CBR1000RR. I've sat on both and they feel equal in comfort level. I love the power of Kawasaki, it's down right nasty, I personally think it is unmatched in the liter bike class. However I do like Honda's low-mid punch, handling, and of course Honda's reliability. So right now I am exploring my fellow riders thoughts. Any body have their own pro's and con's about each bike? Let the battle begin!

IMO if you are buying a street bike theres no question about getting the CBR, Lighter quicker and the mid make it SO much more fun on the street. the zx-10 is a 100% track bike in everything i'v read about it says all the power is top end.

just my 2cents. I bought the 08 1000RR

"low-mid punch" is what you use on the street. Honda's always seem to be the fav. for street use.

Well guess I failed to mention that I was going to do both track and street.

Roadracing World magazine rated the CBR 1000RR their #1 choice in the litre bike shootout all the test riders were AMA roadracers of present & past, not a bunch of stuck up journalists that get paid to give good reviews.

Get the ZX-10R. The handling is on par with the Honda, but it has more power.
