pucker moment.

So I went to get a new safety sticker after installing the fender eliminator, cleaning up the wiring and installing a white LED for the plate. On my way back from Yamaha I heard a buzzing sound, so I let off the throttle a bit and looked down to see if it was something obvious... the main nut in the center of the handlebars was slowly spinning off.

I guess it's no big deal, but about gave me a heart attack in the middle of lunch traffic.

Tightened it down and I can still hear something jingling... metal... sounds like a loose washer coming from the front of the bike. 500 miles and it's already falling apart. <grin> Your should hear the Honda guys here giving me grief...

hmmm. I can't think of anything off the top of my head that would cause that noise. How tight did you tighten the steering stem nut??

Unrelated, I believe. It's been making the noise since about 100 miles. By visual inspection, I can't see anything loose. It sounds like someone threw a tiny washer in my exhaust system.

My puckering moments is when I am wheeling and putt it down to notice a cop heading my way. Now that is a puckering moment.

I haven't had the front end off the ground yet. Maybe after the 1st oil change. I can't wait to experience life beyond 10k rpm.... =)

Very nice bikes, but for me... when I think of Suzuki, I think of their cars and can't get past it.

"Dude, nice bike! What is it?"

"Duuuude. It's a Hyundai!"

"Oh."

If that bolt was loose how many more are loose ? Go over the whole bike and check all the nuts and bolts check everyone you can get a socket or wrench on .
