Thx Tiatool and others for organizing today's "monster ride"

Sometimes it is difficult for peeps to decide where they should ride. I am not a noob and have thousands of miles under my belt. It was not my first time on these roads, but the first time with a MH group. I chose the intermediate group. I may have been more comfortable in the beginner group, but by the time I realized it... I had no idea where group 3 was. The guys around me were great. I did wave people by when I didn't feel comfortable, and those up front were fabulous with hand signals and such. I saw tiatool do a head count at every intersection and never felt pressured to exceed my own capabilities by those riding around me. Even tho this was huge group, it was a great ride with great people and great riderz. to all!

Next time we are going to have name tags so I can introduce myself to the people I want to put a face to!! Or I may make everyone do the, "Hello, my name is ....... but my screen name is ______!" Or maybe that isn't a good idea... could get some people hurt.

It might sound like an MC Anonymous meeting. Hi my name is MaxGs, and I've gone three days without hitting redline in third gear....

i guess some people don't understand we r motorcycle riders. not squids. we all look out for one another. joe used the f word in his speach today about gear. it's not like him to do that. it's just that we need to get the point around that we're not trying to look cool, we don't ride down the freeway with our helmets on the back of our bikes.

joe puts on good rides not races
been real busy lately with the new baby coming and all. i can get out for a quick stroll or for a local meet and greet, but thats about it.

Nice Ride

Enjoyed July 4th ride. I rode in 3rd group a few spots behind Cali. Cali thanks for keeping things in order and safe. I look forward to the next ride.

That's what I had suggested yesterday.

I would suggest you guys not just split, but split directions (one group takes the Eastern side, running ccw, the other takes the Western side, running cw). Then you rendevous at Yankee's for lunch. The slow group will take the shorter route to Yankee's, while the quicker group takes the longer route, so you rendevous at about the same time. A group this large will only result in alot of traffic (obviously), but mucho waiting at the stop points.

I may be in on this! I'll ride with Caligon and the Noobs. Trying to work out the sched., though.
