I wouldn't say that.... odds are from what I've been told the ones that tried to go quicker than their skill set are the ones that had a problem. I really want to hear some details tho....

Really? those guys must have gone way off the beaten path. The cruiser group was already at Yankees and some of them already had their food.

Come to think of it, I recall seeing Tiatool heading towards Yankees when we were going home. But the rider down was well in front of Tiatool, like several miles and 10+ minutes.

Maybe they left they intermediate group and sped ahead??

What are the chances of that? most people will not admit that they did wrong. It's usually "their was gravel in the road" and not " well I went into the corner hot...not estimating my braking distance correctly and rode the rear / front brake though the turn. The bike got unstable, I freaked and lowsided/highsided"

I hope that people do look back and look at what they did ( good or bad ) and learn from it. That is the only way you can improve your skills as a rider....

Oh, and I bet it was a blast seeing that many bikes in one spot!

Don't feel bad Joe. I was leading the fast guys for a period of time, and we had to make U turns TWICE. I was then voted off the island I seriously have no navigation skills. Quite embarrassing.

I vote we make this an annual thing, but a little different next year.... and try and do it accident free as well

With that many bikes all in one place is tough!

Three went off roading in the back of our group.

On the turn that our two went down(the infamous sixshooter plus turn) I entered it at 45mph, w hand signals to slow down and flashing brake lights. Sometimes there is simply nothing a leader can do to get others to slow down and wake up.

Good thing is props to Homer for an awesome job riding his first MH ride...

All of our group riders are doing ok; the one whom went down worse did live Yankees early due to soreness.

BTW, I have the pics you requested. Shoot a PM w your email(sorry, didn't catch your screen name.)

I thought a jacket was part of the required gear for this ride? What's the point of making rules if they aren't enforced?

That said, I'm sure he was an adult and capable of making his own decisions, just thought it was odd since I came across a few posts reiterating that if you didn't have HELMET & JACKET you couldn't go.

Hope everyone had fun despite the mishaps.

made it home safe......thanks for such a great ride joe! it was very well planned and very professional, brian and I had a blast! I can't remember ever seeing that many bikes in one place at one time, I'm down to go again....it's well worth the trip.

as a side note: I hope everyone involved in their "incidents" recover quickly.....
