what an idiot

With so many posts on people doing silly things here and there, maybe one thread can group them all. f a video you've seen of someone doing something on a bike left you saying "what a moron" or "why would they do that" etc, share it here.

Maybe the red car was trying to pass as well at the same time?

I'm just having a hard time to believe that any cager would be so sutupid and vicious enough to ram a bike like that.

If the red car was trying to pass the cars in front, which I doubt, I would think he would move over more gradually than he did. Not only that, the cars in front of the bug were pretty close together. I doubt the bug would be able to pass two cars on a curvy road with considerable distance between him and the two in front.

I think he did it on purpose.

I agree here. I have never made such a violent lane change to pass a car. I wonder if the biker took this to court with the plates he got on video...

The biker was hangin in the VW's blind spot, too close behind.
Both vehicles were being hung up by a slow-*ss cager up front (VW hitting brakes).
Biker went to pass (remaining in blind spot of VW)
VW went to make a quick pass (didn't look too violent to me, plus the VW continued on to pass, and not just bump out to deliberately hit the rider). The biker was right next to him before he even knew it.

Biker bought it.

That's my synopsis.

This looks intentional to me - the cager couldn't have expected to pass from a rolling start at that speed - he knew the biker was behind him. Still - I think I would be more likely to hang back further anyway and not passed until I was more sure of the guy in front of me.

The VW was more responsible for checking mirrors before passing anyway, so it should have been charged to him, IMHO... I think the driver of the car was anxious to beat the cyclist.

And the driver didn't look like he was prepared to pass the car in front of him anyway - he hadn't sped up in advance like he's supposed to...

It was a legal pass, but dangerously executed.

legal pass or not it looked like it was impatience leading to a stupid decision. Honestly to me (though I am a noob) I think he was in the blindspot and following way too close.
