18wheelers and bikes

Everyday someone seems to run into a 18wheeler in a turn or the 18wheelers turns into them in a blind spot when turning wide.
For the noob riders, anytime you see a big truck in the middle lane assume hes going to turn wide left or right , avoid passing him and racing into the turn, fighting with a 80,000lbs truck will kill you,
when ever you see them in the right lane they will usually pull out into the middle lane like to make that right turn reason for that is that the trailer does not hit the curb or run over the curb or hit pedestrians etc.
When at a light make eye contact with them if possible, stay away from the back tires in the lane and direction they are turning in,

Trucks blind spots are, but not limited to: nearly entire right side- under right side door,
by the right side hood of truck-
in the rear of trailer,
if you cant see them they cant see you,
driver side under door-
if ther pulling a 53 ft trlr then about from the driver to about 20 feetback on the trlr you dont exist, because they cant see you.

becarefull and remember ride defensively not offensivelly.?(cs)

dont forget in front. truckers cant see directly in front of the truck for a good number of feet. plently for them to not see a biker.

agreed. your talking about pitting something the size of a dog up to a fullsize pickup. who do you think is gonna win. many many bikers get injured in collisions with big rigs regularly.

On the other side of that I have seen several truckers in my time, a few pretty recently driving like utter retards. Ask squanto bout the guy on I-10.
