A motorcyclist was killed after he crashed into an 18-wheeler in north Harris County early Saturday morning, authorities said.

The accident occurred around 4 a.m. in the 19800 block of Holzwarth, authorities said.

Investigators determined that the driver of the 18-wheeler was making a wide right turn onto Meadow Edge, when the truck was struck on the right side by a 2008 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

A female passenger on the motorcycle was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital, where she is listed in stable condition, authorities said.

You know he was going way to fast for that to have happened. R.I.P speedy recovery for the girl but you know she is going to be really shaken up about watching her friend, boyfriend, etc. die. Be safe guys being dead is not cool. Responsibility of your life is in your hands. There have been way to many deaths this year, to many fallen brothers and sisters.

RIP to the rider.
You really gotta watch out for those wide turns too.
Often those 18 wheelers turn wide without giving turning signals.

Friend told me about this last night. He works at Planet Ford where the 18 Wheeler was turning into. Said the girl flew about 35 feet and the guy was pulled out in pieces. Sorry to hear about this tragedy. We all know the rest. RIP
