DWI's - NO REFUSALS - JULY 4TH WEEKEND

FYI guys...

On the weekend of July 4th (a notorious drunken weekend) there will be no DWI refusals in Brazoria County. What this means is if you are arrested for a DWI, you can either voluntarily "blow" (breath sample) or a search warrant will be obtained and you blood will be drawn. In other words, if you're drunk, you'll be PROVEN to be drunk and will be convicted (DWI's are often thrown out when people don't blow or give blood, as there is no PROOF of drunk driving).

If they are thrown out of the courts all the time, why dont they impliment "no Refusals" all the time instead of just on the major drunk holidays?

Just Curious

my wife is a para legal and has worked for lots of lawyers and they all say if you dont do nothing no blood no feild test and no breather lizer test they can get you off 4 sure! on thhe other hand i wouldnt let them take blood till you talk to a lawyer and make them get the search warrent by thin the level would have dropped and mabe you will get lucky! any ways you shouldnt drink and drive the best fix to make sure you dont get a DWI!

Probably due to the insanely high accident and fatality rate on holidays. Basically you're going to jail anyway so BLOW.

Because law makers have to leave themselves an "out" should they ever be caught driving after leaving the booty naked.

Obviously NOT a lawyer there. Yeah don't blow if in doubt. BUT I can completely simplify the process and DONT DRINK AND DRIVE. See how easy that was?

yep...don't do anything and you'll get off on the DWI charge.

BUT....you'll still lose your license. If you refuse field tests or the intoxalyzer...you lose your license. It's a condition of having a Texas DL.

But I'm sure people would rather deal with no license for a bit....than no license..AND a DWI conviction.

before I blow in a breatha-liar I'll hold out my arm and tell em take me to the ER and do a blood draw and you are allowed to do that and refuse the field stupidity and breatha-liar tests and you won't have your license suspended or revolked, and my reason is this I can't pass a field stupidity test even when I haven't been drinking also the are too sujective and open to preconception/ interpretation by the officer and I have seen cigatette smoke cause a breatha-liar to be positive for alchohol, so that take the blood and then when it comes up neg for alchohol, KISS MY !

also DKA will cause a positive for breatha-liar and depending on how bad the DKA is it can blow waaayy over the legal limit
