Aprilia RSXV 550

"it's a one-off prototype made for an Aprilia VP but it'd make a nice eco-friendly replacement for the RS250. It uses the 550 SVX motor and it's l-i-g-h-t. Bodywork is RS125 stuff."

I was talking to the guy that made this bike a few months ago. I was buying parts for a conversion when my sxv had its second major mechanical failure and highsided me to a broken collar bone. I abandoned all sxv hope at that time.

i hear ya mike... but i have to say this. it is hands down better than any other motard made when its runnin. the SXV is a powerhouse of a motard. mine made 75 rwhp for sake. thats just with a pipe and filter. it outhandled, outbraked & outran any other motard period ! id thrash SV650s all day long with it

If they made that, I would buy it.

I'd also buy a membership to Jenny Craig so I could ride it the right way!

i completely agree. the sxv changed all my opinions of what i wanted out of a bike. i want sub 300 lbs, 75-80 usable hp, with great brakes and handling for 8K. Oh, i want it to be safe and reliable too.

Awesome bike.

Are they still having issues with the SXV engine?
