wow i cant believe i read all of that. Im a big beliver in ATGATT, but it is your choice even though it does affect each and every one of us. You are going to wish that guy had gloves on if he gets nailed by a rock on the hand, loses control and smashes into you or someone you know. Is it so unbearably hot that you cant sweat alittle to protect yourself and others. And flip flops OMG how are you gonna control anything in those things. I think a helmet and closed toes shoes should be required to ride. Just like a seatbelt they are vital in keeping control of your bike if somethuing goes wrong.

I have to admit i dont wear full gear all the freakin time.. Helmet and gloves.. that is all (of course i have pants on.. sometimes). You take the risk when you dont gear up properly, but really.. I see some guys go overkill with the leather pants and jackets and boot and stuff on the streets. If grandma hits you 30+mph your is grass. BTW i live in Lake Jackson so its not like Houston, if I ride up there then I gear up.

spoken like a true squid. I ride in FULL leathers every time. I DID get run over at a stop light and all that happened was a bruised heel and big toe. Do your homework before you type stupid like that.
