Storms the next couple days.

Jumped on my bike earlier. The sky was dark, but I figured it wouldn't be that bad. I'm in Beaumont area, but probably gettin something similar in Houston.

Rode about 10 miles, and for the first time in a year I pulled over for a storm. After my bike wiggled a bit going through 2 to 3" of water, I went ahead and pulled over.

Cool thing though. I met a cruiser guy under the underpass. Talked to him for a bit. Said he lives in Sulphur, and was on his way home from a 12 day trip pretty much to california and back. 4200 miles in 12 days. I was like "holy dude."

Anyways. Be safe guys.

I was mad yesterday for not riding...not one drop of rain here, and it wasn't over 90 degrees on the way home!

I seem to be semi lucky. Houston rain rarely seems to continue for long periods of time. it likes spurts. My 30-60 mnin commute rarely sees the downpour. Sometimes I get drizzles, in fall I got some good heavy rain, but all these random spurts seem to hit right before i leave, or after.

So far, since december haven't missed one day of work due to weather yet, and been late maybe once because of a wreck caused by rain (which I split around and ended up arriving 30 mins ahead of my boss who left earlier than me on FM 1960)!

Knock on wood.

also, i don't take rain gear anymore unless its raining in morning most of the time. In fall, Frogg toggs, no problem, but frogg toggs in 85-90+ degreess and raining? I'd take getting wet over heatstroke!

I'd love to see true mesh, breathable, airflow gear, with waterproof qualitys! lol

Rode Monday and Tuesday but not today. No rain during the commutes. Forecast said 60% this afternoon and evening but it's looking nice out there right now.

The rain would be the least of my worries out there. Those fuggin 18wheelers on 10 me off. I had to take my cousin back to Lumberton yesterday and I swear to they are fuggin retards. They get side by side on a two line highway and go less than the speed limit. I was stuck between 5 of em for nearly 20 mins.

I don't mind getting wet and have at times but water standing on the road is what I want to avoid.

I rode everyday and missed the rain so far. I dont mind ridding home wet but when I got here one day a cloud fell out and got me less than one mile from the office and I was soaked. I froze my off the rest of the day. They try to keep it cold in the lab.

Waterproof tail bag for the win.

Uh oh, starting to hear some thunder and it's getting darker. Maybe it was a good day not to ride.
