so would it be worth spendin the money on filter? or is stock good enough.

With only 6k miles, your stock filter should be good... You will gain nothing from an air filter other then being able to clean it and re-use it.....BUT the oil you have to put on them, attracts way more dirt/grime and require cleaning more often.

I did LOTS of testing with air filters years ago on my 175rwhp busa(back then) and the only thing that made a detectable difference in HP on the dyno was using a piece of UNI foam across the air passage in the airbox as opposed to running a filter. That was basically like running no filter. It gained 2hp but not even consistantly.... I tried the stock, K&N, BMC and BMC Race, UNI foam with the billet airbox lid....

On most bikes, stock paper filters flow plenty and don't require cleaning.... $20 every 10k miles? no biggie...
