Its official. October 3-5 9:00 hours

ok guess im leading this thang.

ive been paroled!

The official Date of the Noxville/Hill Country Trip is October 3-5. We will be heading out at 9 am from 290 and 362. there is a shell gas station up there on the east bound side where we will meet up.

a very important item to have for the hill country: a plug kit and compressed air/mini air compressor for your tires. also: waterweld for the radiators. ive personally had a rock kiss my radiator...not cool.

ive seen many a flat tire out there with the nearest gas station being 50 miles away.

ok, those that are riding up there with me, please start getting your bikes ready well before the ride starts. as in early september. That way youre not looking for tires or trying to get an oil change or a new sprockets and a chain two days beforehand. (Come to Motorcycles Unlimited if you need anything tho)

As for me ill be up there until that monday the 6th upon which i shall make the trek back home.

anyone elses advice is welcome.

ill post more later.

Not a bad idea if riding to take some aspirin and Alieve along, as well as a small first aid kit.

I'll be bringing tools with in the truck, so maybe a break down can be avoided. Worse comes to worse we can get the bikes back home.

I highly recommend a new or almost new rear tire; those roads are fairly abrasive and will chew a used one up pretty quick (yes, I know).

I'm in, added this to my calendar. I have a four door truck and room for 4 bikes on a trailer. I'll be bringing 1 or 2 more fools with me. So where are we all gonna stay?

OK guys just got back to the hotel. Just an FYI for whoever is planning the route. 337 east of leakey has construction. I would not go through it again. Don't know if it will be done by september or not. But its about 4-5 miles of gravel and dirt.

, still? They were working on it last year as well.

Oh, well. There is a good road that runs parallel just south of it.

But it does cut out the best part of 337. Guess you could run down 337 and turn around and go back to Vanderpool and cut south.
