Honda cbr f3 600 isn't a bad choice for someone with a little restraint.

This thread has got to be a joke.

May I suggest a buell blast 500cc single cylinder.

If not just get what you want.

16, 0 (ZERO) experience, wants a R1 or Busa.

Do you live under a bridge?

In my honest opinion.. ur 16... be patient and just wait a couple more years! i promise u will enjoy it more. My parents never cared nor even care now what i do, it was all in my hands... but i promise... u will value, take care of, and be a little more careful if u just wait a couple more years. If you want a toy, go get a four wheeler, or a dirt bike...not a street bike. To many people die on them, and way to many ppl dont resepct the power they truly have, or the potential of power they have.

but if ur gonna be stubborn and irresponisble...go for a 250..maybe 600...but nothing more....

Im still very young, and alot of the guys/girls on this bored know way more then i do, im still older then u, but still closer to ur age then a bunch of the people on the board, so i understand ur wanting to get one so young...but i really think u should get a different toy to play with for the next few years and then get a street bike...just my opinion tho...

You're on the right track, but a zx10 would praly be a better choice... perhaps a cherry '07 with 2,200 miles

As for this topic not being anything different for us, let's keep in mind not everyone is the same and some people want personal questions answered even if our opinions are set in stone.

My answer... 250 would be ideal, no joke. Learning how to avoid other riders and learning just the general flow of the road is enough at that age. When you start putting alot of power without the experience there is less margin for error. That's what alot of people are trying to tell you. Its not the stuff you see or things you predict that will put you down. the body is very capable of healing but some of us walk w a permanent limp, some of us don't walk at all anymore. And there are others that hadn't finished a ride.

The experience that people share with strong opinions are for good reason. Above all, wear your gear and I don't care if you are on a scooter, make money for the gear. A t-shirt won't save a lung from being punctured. And when you do get out on a road, find riders that will ride with you at the level you ride at. If they care about you and ride WITH you not leaving you behind your experience will increase expotentially. Track time doesn't hurt but like I mentioned before on the road its the stuff you don't see that is gonna hurt you. There are several I have ridden with that react after something happens on the street they didn't see coming when I was ready for it several seconds before hand.

What is your life worth to you? Gear, patience, riders who care about your life, and respect for the bike you're riding.

Above all, this can be a life-altering venture or a weekend thrill... Either way it's addicting and this crack pipe cannot be put down after its been hit. Fair warning.

honestly, I know several that start on a bike that size. Were they ready for it when I met them after a few months of them being on it? I'll let them answer that since I believe I've counted a few so far whom already responded. They did improve safely and had enough patience to hold off on the throttle and in the corners until they found their balance and comfort.

Honestly, my first riding was on a 2000 or 01(dont' remember) yellow cbr1000 but I didn't leave the track pits or the street/cul-de-sac. Did I roll the throttle? Hells no. When the adrenaline hits you only you will know if you can control it or will give into it.
