How to ride a wheelie

Alright folks. Trying to learn how to ride a wheelie. Im trying to do a roll on on my CBR1000. I get it to 5,6,7 rpms and hit the throttle a little bit. Its a serious jerk. Is that normal? The wheel doesnt come up. I guessing I'm not giving it enough throttle? Who can give a class?

make sure you have gear and insurance on your bike before you practice wheelies.

With the CBR, you really don't need to be "forcing anything" - even with stock gearing.

Here's the quickest way to get the wheel up in the air (not the safest though): Take it upto 8k, shut the throttle off as the forks compress, hit on the gas and sorta bounce it (right when teh forks are coming back UP), it'll come up with no problem - just ride it a few feet at a time till you get the hang of it.

(Please cover rear brake, insurance, gear, etc etc).

That's the quickest way - but if you wanna learn to do it properly, learn to clutch it or practice on a fiddy first.

^you could probably bounce-power it up in 3rd gear without too much difficulty also. I'd say start in 2nd as 1st would come up really quickly.

Do yourself a favor and gear up, get full coverage insurance on the bike, health insurance, and make it easy for the doctors and practice it in the hospital parking lot.

LEVELX vdo, its not worth buying, I bought it and it really doesnt help. I also heard ononwheel.com is a waist of money too.
Im learning the power up wheelie in 1st gear still but my bike is a 600 on 1k it should just come straight up. Becareful! In 1st i get the bike up to about 30mph shut it down an crank it half way it'll come up 90% of the time
