If it makes Candie feel any better I made it all the way back to Oklahoma City, went around the last turn before entering my work's parking lot.........and my bike fell off the trailer. 1200 mile '07 gixxer down the tube because Oklahoma roads are SO BAD that my bike mysteriously rattled/bounced itself out of its tiedowns.

I did make huge strides in my body position though. Up till the paint where my quads decided they'd had enough.

Had a helluva time yesterday at TWS (Texas World Speedway)! LSTD put on a great event---very well organized/well run and relaxed

Special thanks to Martin (Big Comfy) for the instruction/advice...really helped out bro...much appreciated

By the way, Swift E, I stole some of those pics from your link; do I owe you any $$$ for them? :dontknow:

Just thought I'd throw this out there, but is it true that TWS (Texas World Speedway)' long term lease is up in about a year? Rumor has it they plan to level it and build apartment complexes there At least thats what I was told.

Partially true, mostly not.

TWS (Texas World Speedway) was just bought by a triumvirate of investors, one of which is a real estate tycoon, the other two are motorsports enthusiasts, one of which has close ties to Ferrari.

The track's not going anywhere according to their business plan as I understand it, as a matter of fact, I understand that at the end of this season, they plan to shut down for a few weeks to repave much of the track

The plans are supposed to include possibly a hotel, and other amenities I have heard, and that more will be done to make this a very rare motorsports test track for some very reputable manufacturer.

We'll see, but as I understand things from people who would know, the owners are very enthusiastic about improving the place and increasing "productivity" of the track.
