I am not a praying person but I need your help...

Holly's daughter Ashley went down yesterday in turn 4 at TWS (Texas World Speedway). At first we thought she only had a broken collar bone and maybe some broken ribs. Turns out the pain was coming from a ruptured spleen and internal bleeding. Her blood count has continued to go down and they a planning a doing a blood transfusion possibly tonight. If the blood transfusion does not work they will remove her spleen tomorrow.

If you could please include Ashley in your prayers I will greatly appreciate it.

I was the instructor (along with Jon) that got to Ashley while she lay motionless on the outside side of T4.

When i held her hand and looked at her, I knew something was broken - I must say though, and I don't say thing often about girls.

"Ashley is probably one of the strongest females I know, and not just riders, but among all females!"

At only 15 she smiled through out the whole painful procedures that the paramedics put her through with a beautiful smile on her face, she handled it better then most racers would have done so.

Hope she recovers quickly and gets back to speed quickly. She was moving very well in her group the previous session. I just think cold tires got the best of her the session she crashed in.

wow, sorry to hear that. It sounds like she has a spleen laceration rather than full out rupture (simply a difference in magnitude). I would guess there's a 99.9% chance she's going to be all right if she's already in the hospital . I hope she gets well.
