I AM SO GLAD YOU ARE OK, you don't know long it feels when you are waiting to hear from medic 1 if you were going to be transported or not. Again, glad you are ok.

Oh girl....I'm so sorry! Definitely get that thing taken care of ASAP so you can get back out there doing what you love to do. If you have questions, Scott can always answer them for you! Doc Sanders is the best and he's HARD CORE about getting you back in the saddle.

If you need anything...just let us know!! (((((e-hugs)))))

Fastest way to fix your collar will probably to plate it. However, looking at your xray and where it broke, the fig. 8 brace will keep the bone in place to heal naturally but slower. My break was the opposite of yours, it was closer to my neck...much closer. The fig 8 brace wasn't the greatest way to heal it. I dont have the "bump" that most have, mine is more like a little spike sticking up. Im going to have to get cut open anyways to grind down the bone in two months. Wish you a speedy recovery

Most of the collar bone breaks from motorcycles are caused by the helmet. It makes sense that Candie having a smaller frame, the helmet would hit further out toward the shoulder. It only takes a few pounds of force to break those bones!

My collar bone was shattered- close to being necessary to perform surgery. My ortho is old-school, and he gave me the option- I took the long way out and it healed naturally- yeah, I have "the bump". No figure 8 (my ortho said not many orthos use them any more :shrugs, just a sling and happy pills.

Candie, I'm sure you'll be back out there in no time!

Regarding her toughness, yall would have been impressed with her toughness if you would have been in the ambulance with us as Tim and I took her leathers off! That chick has some serious pain tolerance!!!!!!!!!

Candie, so sorry to hear about what happened. From Skid's previous incidents, we know that CBRs don't crash well at all.

Since you already had a fractured clavicle once, at least you know what to do and not to do. I don't know, did you have surgery on your first one? I do hope they do surgery on this one so you get back in the saddle fast!

Actually, the people that have surgery get back on the track much sooner.

Get well soon fahst Candie!
