last year we got caught in cold weather (around 40 degrees) and while riding on the freeways. we made stops on almost every ride at Academy so peeps could buy thermal underwear.

thermal underwear is the best!

I ride all year round.

I rear sweatpants underneath my jeans, and a flees or thin jacket underneath my riding jacket, air tight gloves underneath my riding gloves.

I still get cold. But when i'm in the twisties don't matter how cold it is.

OMG. last winter i rode to work 40 miles 5 days a week. this was up near dallas and it was like 30-35 degrees sometimes, and that without reguler windchill + windchill from the bike. . i would wear thermals, like 2-3 pairs of pants, and like 6 shirts, a sweater, and 2 jackets. not even playin. 3 pairs of gloves. the thin cotton dollar store kind, some "thermal" hunting gloves, and some big poofy gloves, you know like mom would send you to school with, i would STILL get frozen fingers and just the slightest bit of frostbite on really cold days. made handling the throttle and levers a real chore. a neoprene face mask to keep wind of my chin, cheeks and nose (that thing worked good!) a beanie hat, and a scarf. had to get to work like 25 mins early so i could "undress" all the extra and layers. id still have cold legs for like 2 hours there. but during the day when i went home it was nice, so i had to bring a big empty backpack to put all the in. one day i came home covered in snow/ice, and so was the bike. try having to work the clutch and throttle to keep a cold engine from dying, while also wiping frozen snow off your visor...good !

at 35 degrees + it wasnt that bad, but man, there were some nights hella colder than that. that totally sucked, and i never want to do it again. im going to drop a paycheck on a truck for that kind of weather this year. call me a if you want, but i did my time, and this year ill be warm and cozey! F U and F THAT!
