I've been wanting to get a suit so I can start doing track days. Does anyone have an opinion if the Teknic Chicane 1 Piece Race Suit is a quality product?

Also, I wear a 44 jacket and 6'0 180 lbs...would the 44 sizing hold true for the one piece suit too?

Teknic makes a pretty decent entry level suit. From my experience though, with regard to internet deals especially, you're much better off going to Motorcycles Unlimited and getting a real fitting for a good suit.

Patrick's prices beat the internet deals most of the time, and you don't have to pay shipping.

Here is the size chart for these suits from the Teknic web site. I am thinking of getting one of these too. I've been looking for a good entry level one-piece suit. Thanks for the heads up !

You are right Tom. Patrick has been very good to me. He gave me a better price on my Fieldsheer suit than I could find on the net, got me fitted AND I didn't have to pay shipping. It replaced a low dollar entry level suit I got cheap in case I didn't like trackdays. What a laugh, trackdays are the best!
Anyway, I only posted this for those that can't afford a higher priced suit and needed something to get started with.

Just FYI, everyone gets these suits from the same place, they clearence things out all of the time. thousands of items. If you find a deal like this on the net, I bet my bottom dollar Patrick can get the same deal + your spending your money locally + your supporting a site sponsor.

I wish I had known that... why didn't you say something sooner? lol

Seriously I was just trying to help out the folks that wanted to come out to the track, so when I stumbled on this deal I posted it for the benefit of mankind, without thinking it through.
