then... make your own?

there's no real new SS bikes between 700-900 that's a sport bike besides the gsxr 750...

unless maybe you imported an aprillia or something that's not sold in the US that I know of.

/shrug if you mean way harder then a bike, yeah.

less parts, less aftermarkets.. pretty much like buying a ferrari in america there's just not as much demand for the so you have to pay top dollar for everything including repairs from the dealer.

He speaks the truth. Have you heard the saying "the things you own, own you".

Funny thing about Ducati motor bikes, there are more and more shops that service them- Patrick's shop does. That used to be the exception rather than the rule.

The only big deal about Ducati these days is waiting for parts to come in. Whereas you had to be really good in the past and diligent about valve adjustments, or pay through the nose to have the Ducati shop do them, shops like Patrick's can do them for a fraction of the cost.

It's not that bad to own a Ducati, and the 748 is a fantastic bike.

However, IMHO, there is little to about with the GSXR750. That bike has all the power of a liter bike, but the handling of the 600. Not to mention, there are parts galore from the aftermarket.

Triumph 675, Ducati 848, Gsxr 750, MV's Brtuale(naked) and I thought they had a 750.

Like Tom said, the Ducatis arent that bad to service, yes parts are a little expensive, but not that bad we service them all the time, I do the valve adjustments for WAY less than the dealers, If U guys want one dont be afraid of the maintence, just have to do it on time and not at the dealer

I like the look of ducatis...which one has the red/white/green fairing set?

and about how much what I be expecting to spend a month to maintain it?

or do I just have to worry about oil and tires for the most part?

Read up on the new ducatis they have extended the service points. Mo betterz than they have been in the past.

The red/white/green is a limited production, and I don't recall if they made the 748 in that or if they make the 848 with it. Expect to pay WAY top dollar for those things.

Monthly maintenance is the same as any other bike. Every so often (dictated by mileage), you have to perform valve adjustments/ checks. As mentioned, there are a bunch of shops locally that can do this cheaper than the dealers.
