A friend of mine from Goodyear had a lot of CF on his Duc1098S .. He tried to ride it up a ramp into his truck and the ramp fell and so did his bike..

12 large worth of damage not to mention out of a bike for 2 weeks....
Suxors!!

Too rich for my blood. But they do look nice. Some place has carbon fiber or carbon kevlar covers as well as fuel tanks. The fuel tanks are ungodly expensive.

Too rich for my blood. I am a real practical person. I would not buy CF unless I was serious into racing and wanted the weight savings. Nothing against anyone that want to buy some. Keeps the economy stimulated.

The only CF I will be buying is Arrows for my Bow.

wrong. well usually. the fairings in this auction aren't going to be very flexible because they're just a carbon overlay on a fiberglass backing. very heavy, and not very strong. however, if you get good quality carbon fairings such as those from OPP racing, they're more flexible than stock, stronger, and lighter. i had the full set on my zx-10 and they were pretty nice. i wouldn't buy them again though...too much money when you crash.

full cf fairings (minus tank) for an 03-05 r6 is $1700 from OPP. full oem painted fairings from the yami dealer is $1500-$1600.

quality is not bad. I have some that I am waiting to paint. (nothing it hotter than carbon fibre with a light coat of paint that still shows the weaving. ala Ferrari f40, f50)

I thought quality would be bad but its actually as good as my oem ones.
