You will do a few laps called a Round Robin with the instructors. Take this time to learn the track. Watch your instructors and where they are entering the turns and exiting them into the straights. Try to follow their lines.

Before I did my first trackday I went a watched one. And like what Go Ninja says, you will pick up alot.

After the Round Robin, there will be some class room talk...then you will be free to ride the track. There are instructors the entire time and they will pass you, tap their tail and that means you need to follow them. They will show you alot, believe me. My first TD I was scared to hit the Launch at MSRH but Buck flew past me and showed me a better line. I just love that part of the track now (and the Carousel).

Once you go track you dont go back...street riding will be boring.

No track day there this weekend.

You don't have to have a one-piece suit either. Here are the requirements for LSTD riders:

http://www.lstd.com/html/requirements.html

Surf the rest of the site, there's a ton of information there.

We have "noob" track day groups at every event that's not a race weekend. LSTD instructors are likely the most experienced in the biz, and will definitely make your day go great!

JR, when you are ready to do your 1st one, I'll personaly come pick you up, help you prep your bike, and get you home.

Once at the track, you'll be tied to an instructor the entire day, and never be out of their site! Shoot me a PM and I'll walk you through all you need!

Dude ... speaking as a professional sponge ... all you have to do is ask around and there will be someone to help you too the track and at the track. I don't have a trailer, nor do I have a vehicle equiped to pull a trailer, so far i've had a different person help me get to the track for every trackday I've done. Track people are the best with helping eachother ... it's like once you get there, no matter what you're skill level ... you are part of the club and membership has it's perks!
