you dont need full race fairings to do a day though, stock bike works fine.

Mike has a folding trailer that he pulls behind his accord. I'm thinking about going with that setup myself.

I found out riding home from the track suuuucks. I did an impromptu halfday on the 8th, and I was cursing the short ride home.

I think you have the wrong impression.

you can literally ride your off the show room bike to the track, tape up your lights, and ride. its no big deal.

Stock bike is cool for a track day, dood!

Make sure you've got all your hoses, drain plugs, filters, etc... screwed on tight! Tape your lenses and you're good...

Any org you ride with will have folks to help you out, if needed!

04RSVR more than likely. You don't need warmers or anything. Just get with someone that has done them before and get a ride with them. Someone usually has extra room on their trailer.

Go out and watch at a trackday. You'll pick up a lot of what goes on and what you'll need.

Grubz...tape your lights, pull fuses to them if you want, put your tire pressure to 30 psi and you're good to go.

You will do a few laps called a Round Robin with the instructors. Take this time to learn the track. Watch your instructors and where they are entering the turns and exiting them into the straights. Try to follow their lines.

Before I did my first trackday I went a watched one. And like what Go Ninja says, you will pick up alot.

After the Round Robin, there will be some class room talk...then you will be free to ride the track. There are instructors the entire time and they will pass you, tap their tail and that means you need to follow them. They will show you alot, believe me. My first TD I was scared to hit the Launch at MSRH but Buck flew past me and showed me a better line. I just love that part of the track now (and the Carousel).

Once you go track you dont go back...street riding will be boring.
