i allow it because i know that deep down, he doesn't want to see any more people killed by bikes and neither do i... so offers up his take which is usually a very conservative route, but others don't want to hear that or don't agree. He has a lot of knowledge on the topic. I would almost... notice i said ALMOST, see him as a father figure. Back in the day i used to argue with my dad because i thought i knew more than he did or knew better... I have come to realize that he has the experiences to back up his beliefs and recommendations... Racer X teaches the MSF course... he has ridden many many miles... I'd respect his experience and if he offered advice, i know i'd listen

You know there are a ton of doctors out there who have there own practice etc. they all want to do good and save the world but that doesn’t make them a good doctor.

I am leery of anyone who wants to jump out there and start spewing facts and figures etc. I've been around the game too long and seen too many self proclaimed "experts". In my experience it always seems to be the ones talking the loudest about how to do something that dont really know. If you guys know racer-x and ulcer and want to believe there is some merit in what they say thats great.

I don’t really want to get back into all this again; I think we have pretty much beat this horse to death in the last thread that got locked.

I think it might have been Racer-X that mentioned tiered testing in another state or country. I wouldn’t mind seeing that here as well. I think more stringent testing is the only way to determine what a new rider is capable of handling as far as bike size.

No, you are just new to the board. One of these discussions comes up about once every month.
