I think short answer is, stick to the big 4 and you're good.

Always heard Harley's break down all the time, so probly wanna stay clear of Buells. What about Ducati's? I've heard they break down quite often also.

Maybe add Triumph to the list? Dunno reliability of those.

Currently Suzuki and Kawi are the same thing... Suzuki basically owns the kawasaki motorcycle department but not Kawi as a whole because that company operates on a much larger scale. Motorcycle development and production is a minimal amount of Kawi's business.

Its not so much that ducati's are unreliable as it is that the desmodromic valve actuation requires absurdly frequent adjustment, and if you ever DO have problems.....you pay out the nose for parts.

The one difference that they claim is the GSXR line will be 100% suzuki. I find that hard to believe considering the two departments are collaborating on most other models.

its honda yami (not the new r1) suzuki, kawi.

kawis are the worst. just look at all the zx6rs that have problems. even their owners hate on them.

Really? I know quite a few owners, and we're all happy as could be with our bikes.

I am just basing my opinion on roy and what he says about his bike. at the other guy who wants it replaced under lemon law, and my brother who had a zzr that had bad carbs to the pos of a 04 zx10r that he bought that had all kinds of trouble. and the typical lower resale values of kawi bikes compared to the other three big bikes manuf's

I do understand that it is a broad generalization on my part but..........thats what I have seen and heard.
