WTF, no thread for WSBK??? (spoiler)

I just noticed that no-one's posted up about this past weekend's race.

Personally, I thought it was a cracka! Nitro Nori was F-LYIN' and Bayliss was way over his head.

Even the commentators were commenting on "he looks like he's riding past the abilities of that motorcycle"....

Bayllistic even admited that, he couldn't keep up with the yamis or Max. GO BAYLISSSSSSS

Nori pulled the double but i think Corser could have gotten the second one, i bet he was , he wants BMW to give him a big contract

Bayliss was riding the socks off that Duc. Probably a little much for what ever set-up they had.

But I mean seriously........both Haga and Corsa were in their own world, at least in race 2 they were. I missed race 1......but I'm glad to see Haga with a double race win. The fight between him and Corsa had me off my seat.......good stuff.

Bayliss is sure to put up a better race next round, I think he just wanted a little more "fast" then his team or bike could give him that day.

Good races. Not quite as entertaining as the SS race, but they rarely are.

All 3 races were great. Turn 1 was unreal. The amount of braking required.

That one guy torpedoed about 5 guys on the first start of the SS race...:/:

Andrew Pitt looks strong on the Ten Kate Honda 600rr. The Factory Yamaha boys are strong as well.

I wonder how much Haga was actually hurting. They kept alluding to the 6 pins in his shoulder and pain shots, but he road flawless in both races.

Does anyone else think its funny that the announcers talk about the nurburgring being bumpy? The video made that track look smooth as glass! I think they'd themselves if they had to ride on any of the tracks we do.

Which is exactly why they don't race on the same tracks we do.

It's hard to tell on the t.v., but the smallest of bumps are going to be noticed by world class pros. But their set-ups are made to just soke'em up, most of the time at least.

Anyone would probably themselves if they rode our tracks at those speeds.......but world class tracks also have things like glass shards mixed with the pavement to add traction......not all, but some.

I've heard in the UK they actually used crushed sea-shells even.

I just think its funny that all the euro riders say that laguna seca is unsafe for motogp. Its bar FAR the smoothest track I've ever ran on. Not that the bumps anywhere else actually bother me.

Well it could be other factors to why they don't like it.

A lot of the Euro curb paint is made to actually help the rider regain traction, where as on some US tracks, it's as slick as ice.

The run off areas is probably what scares them the most......US tracks don't exactly have the best reputation for GREAT run off areas or protection from slammng into the walls.

The speeds at which they "feel" stuff on the track, is nothing compared to what you "feel" at the track

True. I "feel" like I'm going to die, and they "feel" like they should run over, pick their bikes back up, and keep racing.

Just an observation.......I've watched Ty Howard race out here and thought " he is GREAT".......and I'm a big fan of Brandon S who seems to have the ability to correct his mistakes lap after lap.........then I watched Spies/Miladin/etc at Miller.
Not knocking our local guy's.......it's the differance between a P-51 and an F-15.
And track days aren't even close to the warm-up laps those guy's are running.

poor poor Tommy Hill,

Quote:
Tommy Hill has been diagnosed with another broken thigh bone after being taken out in a first corner melee on his return to action in the World Supersport Championship this weekend.

The Brit was about to make his full debut this weekend for the Honda Althea team eight months after suffering horrific injuries, including a fractured hip, femur, ankle and hand in a testing crash back in November.

He was looking good too when he qualified eighth in the 32-strong field but was involved in a first corner crash that saw five riders taken down, including him.

Needing immediate medical attention, it has since been revealed that Hill has a break in the same thighbone he suffered back in Spain. He will be flown back to the UK for further medical assistance
If it wasn't for bad luck he'd have no luck
