Is this a Scam?

replied to the 08 250 and this is what was said of course it needs to be read from the bottom up.

If you decide to buy the bike reply me with your full name and address so i can start the transaction with escrow , after everything is ok they will send you a confirmation e-mail with shipping and payment details. You will have 7 days to test the bike.I will receive the funds from escrow only after you have received and aproved the bike.If you don't want to buy it,you'll simply rejected and get a full refund from the escrow company.
Tks

ok, i have cash and work in Tomball, would you be riding the bike over or bringing in a pick-up or trailer. I don't really understand how the whole escrow.com thing works, do I have to register there? I see no problem if you've got the bike and the title, I've got the cash. Let me know what I need to do?

Hi,
The bike is still available for purchase. The price is $3000, shipping is included . I would like to use escrow service (www.escrow.com) for this deal because it is a large purchase and I want a smooth transaction. If you agree with my terms email me back and I will give you all the details.
Tks

I think I would like to talk to you more about this bike if you still have it you can call me at 281-516-7747 or 281-687-1692 if after 6pm

It's a scam.....he's suppose to be local. Why would he do shipping otherwise?

Personally I would never buy a bike involving shipping, becuase you never meet the person.. and I have heard to many things go wrong.

Ask for the VIN number so you can run a Carfax on it.

His formal speech is indicative of the 'ol Nigerian craiglist scam. I'd stay away from this one Lisa unless he is willing to meet you and accept cash. Can't be any funny business that way, especially if you have him bring it to the shop!

deffinitly a sam escrow is VERY rarely used for any other reason

plus you should NEVER send someone your personal information in a sale all they need is to know you have the money, a contact # and a place to meet

yup, my dumbass got scammed like that a few months ago (wasn't alot of money but still). Like ery1 else said, doesn't go smoother than cash in hand for title in hand.

personally, if I was sellin my bike I would want to meet the person takin over

newest addition
again read from bottom to top

At this moment I'm out of States and will be back in 2 weeks, the bike is in custody of the escrow company. They will handle the shipping and payment for me,since I'm not able to do it myself now.
The payment will be sent to escrow and they will proceed to shipping as soon as payment is clear.
I will receive the funds from escrow only after you have received and aproved the bike. You will have 7 days to test the bike .If you don't want to buy it,you'll simply rejected and get a full refund from the escrow company.

well according to your add you have a houston address so i see no point in having the bike shipped I can meet you with cash or cashiers check or you can come to my shop, we buy alot of bikes and never has anyone refused cash, also i would like to look at the bike in question before commiting to purchase.
