1/5th Throttle conversion

Have any of you guys done this on your bike? I didn't get a chance to test mine out yet but after I adjust it and the roads are dry, I will get back to this and let yall know how I like it.

FYI a stock bike takes a 1/4 turn to go from idle to WOT.

This modification simply makes it a 1/5th turn resulting in a more responsive and tighter throttle. Similar to most dirtbike throttles. LOL not something for a beginner.

I'll be back tomorrow night with the test results

I did this on my bike and like it alot, dont have to reposition hand when going to WOT. Just take it slow on the track until you get some time with it.

Oh and FYI its simple to do. I think i put a ziptie in the housing under the wire in ter making the diameter larger, so it results in a shorter twist. Start with one and go from there.

I put a HRC 1/6 turn throttle kit on mine, and I like it. Took a minute to readjust. After that, it's cool.

I had one on my SV race bike and liked it, my GSXR has one too. It's all good.

I have the HRC 1/6th throttle on my CBR as well and like it a lot. I haven't had any issues with throttle control. Makes things a bit easier in my opinion and I would do it again if I got another bike.

Well finally got a chance to roll around the neighborhood. Not much of a test run but there's an obvious increase in throttle response. I don't see the need to ever again have to readjust my hand to go WOT. I'll see how it does at TWS (Texas World Speedway).

1/4 turn is plenty enough for my n00b riding skills. Althought I did get destroyed by a 8-71'd blown nova last night. doubt this would have helped

Well you saw my half-assed disclaimer! This is not for beginners

What do you ride? That is the reason you lost, not the throttle

Ya, that car was going to eat me alive regardless of what I was riding. I caught up with him about 3 lights down. Said he's pushing close to 800hp at the wheels and runs sub 10s in the quarter.
