Battery Disposal

Anyone know where I can dispose of an old battery somewhat close to the N.side? I got an old one that been sitting around that I need to get rid of. I think I can bring it down to the Westpark recycling center, but I was trying to see if there was one closer.

I didn't ask. Isn't a core charge normally for returning the old after you buy the new?
