Insurance Question for you Multiple Street Bike Owners

When you have multiple street bikes does your insurance give a multi-bike discount (similarly what is done with cars)? I'd like to have 2 bikes some day but not sure if it's worth paying the extra insurance. I'm not talking about track bikes because I realize most probably don't carry insurance on them. Thanks.

Geico charges me full for both.

I took collision off last month and it took 1200 off a year for both bikes.

Still have full coverage otherwise on 2 old 600's (cbr and gsxr) and insurance is 90 a month. Was 160 to 170ish.

I had 3 different policy with Statefarm. They don't do multiple on 1 policy.

Geico gives multiple bike discounts, I only pay like 1400 a year for everything including 2 busas 07 gixxer 1000, 1098, cbr 600, chit the 1098 alone full coverage from farmers was over 2 grand, with Geico its like $550 for like $30,000 coverage, of course thats with 30 years experience

The 12R was $78 a year for liability. Adding the 10R made it $100 for BOTH bikes.

Deb has a 1995 Dyna Wide Glide at about $400/year for full coverage. Adding a Ninja 250 to her insurance actually LOWERED her insurance to about $370. :/: Go figure.

Both policies are thru Geico.

I was thinking of getting a 600 or a cruiser one day as a bunk mate for the R1, and I pay $40 a month for the R1 so insurance might not be too bad. I'll just have to call and get a quote when I decide to get something. Thanks for the input everyone.

I tried to get a discount through State Farm for my bikes to no avail. I already have a Multi-Vehicle discount because I have a 99 TA and the 2000 Hayabusa insured with them, along with my Home Owner's and Flood Insurance. I wanted to add my 01 1000 and it was gonna be the same price as the busa($75 month full coverage). I decided to go with Liability only on the 1000 from Progressive and it was $160 for the year. Just couldn't see spending $1k a year on a second bike thats already 7 yrs old.....(abeit is MINT condition though..... ) I also have a 71 Corvette and tried to get Antique car insurance from State Farm on it and they would only insure it as a "used car" for $85 month......UMMM......NO.... I got Full coverage on it through Axis Insurance for $163 for the year.... Its insured for $20k....(limited mileage though).

Kind of me off that you do a lot of business with one insurance company and they won't give you special deals or even write you specialty policies, just so you and can everything through one place.....Now I gotta deal with 3 different insurance companies every year....

Mine, progressive, didn't offer a two bike discount and both my cars didn't matter; separate policy.

ALMOST, A couple years ago I had three sport bikes and a shadow 1100 cruiser, when Icalled to get liability on the shadow she said it would add $1.00, to the yearly price that was only like $225 anyway, SO I asked her if she could split that dollar into 4 payments of a quarter each , and she said she would just comp the first year NOW for the kicker when we added the ninja 250 it was gonna add like $1800.00 a year just for that 1 bike, I just laughed and thought she was kidding, but she wasnt, she said that they were the #1 crashed bike, because of beginner riders, I was so mwe got insurance on that 1 bike smewhere else.
