first see if your battery connections are tight if they are....

take your battery to an auto store like autozone or advanced auto, ask them to test the battery and see if it holds a charge, if not, get a new battery.

If it does hold a charge, you need to test your stator and rectifier with a volt meter. (Theres a chart out there that should show you what everything should read)

That should tell you if you need a stator or rectifier.

You can also take the stator cover off and just look at the stator and see if you see any burn marks. (just cause there isn't any, doesn't mean it isn't bad)

If its not any of that then I don't know.

mine for the 01 gsxr was 120 for the stator

I think the rectifier was 180

But as just stated (which I didn't think about) Unless your bike has atleast 14k miles Your electrical SHOULD be fine. But theres always exceptions.

They are both easy to install

No tampering of anykind!!! Its bone stock with 5000 miles. I'll double check the battery and go from there.

May want to make sure you're not running with hi-beams on. On my '04 RR if you're just cruising around and the RPM's aren't kept high, the hi-beams will drain the battery. When first got the bike and had this problem, had everything checked....stop running with hi-beams at slow speeds and problem went away. Haven't had this problem with my '07, but not sure about the '06.

Only for 03-04, you must be over 5k rpms
