I didn't read all 50 pages of this thread...

I bought an '06 GSXR600 as my very first bike (and I never even had a dirt bike). I did not regret it one bit! I only regret not keeping it (I now have an '07 GSXR600).

The new 250's are pretty sweet, though...

Hope that helps!

I can't believe this thread has even gone on this long. if it's a stranger that you have absolutely no clue what their personality and habits are, you don't know if you think they would be responsible enough for a bigger bike, so you should advise them to start on the 250.

You should work on your reading and that 'projection' issue.
You've been quite a bit of a better poster, so to speak. But, to this forum you are pretty much a FNG shooting your mouth off, and some of the bs your 'saying' isn't helping...and that's pretty much what I stated. It wasn't 'wishing' anything, it was a simple, factual statement based on the
information provided.

Well letís see Ulcer, where to start...

Only 2 threads because Iím simply out riding rather than talking about it.

"Troll bait" and "attacks".. lol... "Troll bait".. Is that some old dungeons and dragons terminology? Or does one get a secret decoder book once you reach 1000 posts on here? i dont know one person that would use the term "troll bait".. lol! you continue to amaze and most of all "educate".

Yea! Has anyone met me? Do I ride? Can I ride? Anyone? Anyone?

I'd say we have to wonder the same about you. 2 threads are all you have posted on this forum. You've contributed almost nothing of any value to this site.
Most of your posts in this thread are nothing but troll bait and attacks.... and it really looks like your developing some kind of strange homosexual, stalking behaviour.

Has anyone in this forum actually MET this guy or is he just another poser point wanna be?

No, just another fng that hasn't had to be scraped off the street yet.

Yeh, I do. This thread has gone to the crapper and I highly doubt the original poster is still reading. He can PM or email me if he wants my opinion.

I actually find it funny that it hasn't been locked yet, but I think we all know why.

I think it's pretty sufficient to say that there will be those that can and do learn on a 600cc SB ... it's not impossible ... just highly unrecommended by most that have more experience in the matter... and leave it at that.

In the end ... it's not our bike and it's not our lives. Individual personal responsibility gives use the right to both be responsible and to ignore reasonable advice.

Those of us reccomending the 250/500cc beginner bikes do so because of experience. Those of them who reccomend 600cc sport bikes do so also out of personal experience ... Racer X maybe an at times and somewhat obtuse ... but he is an MSF instructor with access to data and statistics about this particular topic ... learning to ride a motorcycle and the pitfals of doing it wrong.

In the end, those of us recomending caution and a more moderate approach to learning to ride do so because we understand that the more people learn and survive the experience ... the better the riding community will be ... noobs wrecking and getting hurt because they were over their heads does nothing for good for our community's image...

Don't blame me for your lack of education, dictionary.com would be a good start for net related terminology.

I think that's actually been asked of you a couple times in this forum and you have yet to respond.

The answer to that questionn, is in this thread.

However, you need to be able to read to find & understand it.

...and as much as your harping about us posting and not 'riding', we all not your doing the very same.

The options weren't a) ninja 250, b) GSXR 600, c) i can't answer because I don't know enough about you. So they tell him to use what will in general be the safest bike to start on. 250s are the stereotypical first bike and then you move up, that's the normal and most advised way of riding. Not that everyone starts on a 600 and MAYBE if you're really scared you start on a 250. personally my msf class was full of rebels, not cbrs

when we preach about starting small it's a long term approach. your not missing out an anything by starting small except time. 600SS bikes will always be there.

No sir, I hold a job. Some friends tipped me off that a couple of knobs were handing out all kinds of free advice and that I should check it out. Work was slow so I thought why not. Iíve had some good laughs this week.

Lack of education... lol. What makes you such a dumb Ulcer is that you think youíre cute by always trying to play the "smart" card in your replies? Youíre nothing but a computer geek that happens to own a bike which was probably given to you by an uncle. And that was only because he thought it was time you became a man and stopped playing with yourself in front of your computer all the time.

As far as my riding experience, do you have a questionnaire I can fill out for ya? Maybe you can find one and copy and paste it in for us..

Iíve been riding since I was 5 yrs old. Dirt bikes, street, sport, cruiser.. But I wouldnít say 33 years of riding qualifies me to hand out advice unlike what Iíve seen around here.

So now what ya got? Come up with something crafty, because Iím starting to get bored with this.. Throw something else out there with that condescending tone you love to use so much.
