B group rules... I think I'm a B group lifer, haha. If I can consistently hit the sub 2:00 mark then maybe I'll consider A group, but that's not happening with my current skills and current bike setup.

I'll be there on the 7th and might do the 10th... but it takes a long time to heat up the tires in December/January... that's the main reason I wouldn't do it. Toooo cold.

I'll see you guys on the 7th... last paddock again?

You'll be getting 2:15s in no time... just keep doing trackdays and asking good questions. Set a realistic goal for yourself and by asking questions you'll learn what you need to do to get there.

Next year I have the goal of 2:00.. we'll see. I have alot of learning to do before getting there, gotta drop another 8-9 seconds.

All the more reason to do it! :icon_bigg So you can learn to rider better/safer. Last trackday there was a guy on a Honda ST1100. There have been Harleys at 2 of 3 trackdays. I've never seen you ride... but I'm SURE you can take a Harley. :laughing6

Draggin knees is nothing big, I keep my knees in... I don't like to drag them, plus it's alot cheaper than having to buy knee pucks every 2 or so trackdays. :icon_bigg

There are a few here who can drag knees: Carlos, Gianni, James, Arturo, Henry... I just don't like the feeling. I put it down for just a sec then pull it back in... it all comes to personal preference really.

It's really alot easier than many think, and it's not a tell tale sign that you're riding fast either... I mean, you have to be going a decent clip, but the misconception is that if you drag a knee you're hauling ... which isn't necessarily so.

I don't really want to race.. i just want to get in there and try it like ya'lll.. i have heard once you go to a track day, then you ride so much differently... i am willing to do it.. dont get me wrong.. i would like to learn as much about it as possible for sure...
thanks

willing and wanting to learn..

if cost is an issue, then cornerwork half day and ride the other half. u save ~150bucks. rental gear 100bucks, ~50 bucks for gas, tuning(if u choose) etc etc is all else u will need to spend. worth every penny
there fore , ballpark figures:
300 if u do full day
150 if u cornerwork half day
50 if u can get somebody to lend u gear
