sending folks to MSF

Dang. I guess its a combination of it being summertime and gas prices being ridiculous, but I have been flooded with coworkers asking me about riding. I ride to work most days and park my bike under the cover of the loading dock (made friends with the receiving guys, so they watch my bike for me).
So, all the people that go in and out of our back doors can see my bike. Some will ask around to find me, others know me.
I would have to say Ive had at least 15 people ask me about how to get started riding. Even the publisher/Big Boss man has spoken with me on his 22 yr old son's behalf.
I always steer them towards MSF and tell them its the way to go. I can usually convince them by explaining how rough the DPS driving test can be and that the MSF satisfies the DPS driving test requirement.
Ive seen a few of these people take their inquiry all the way to fruition by taking their MSF, getting their license and to date 2 have bought bikes!
After doing it a few times, I have saved an email to send to them with Motohouston and the MSF web addresses.
I also do my best to get people started on small bikes, but that is a much harder sell. Im adding the link to RacerX's sticky about 600s as a first bike to my email.
I like to think Im making a difference, but who knows.

Anyone else running into this?

Not too much recently, as 2 of my coworkers have bikes, and there's only 6 of us total. But i'm really happy that you're trying to get them started the correct way! Props to you!

I've got a co-worker taking MSF today and tomorrow. I think more people are interested in riding with the gas prices so high.

Yep at least once or twice a week someone new asks me about the bike. The most common question is "what kind of gas mileage?"

They look shocked when I answer. "dammnn that sure as beats my 11 mpg in the 'burban!"

I have only had one chick follow up and take her MSF, she got a scoot. Hehe.

Keep in mind we actually have scooters that he can take the BRC on.

i have a girl that works for me that bought a bike a couple of months back. i keep trying to get her and her bf to take the msf and wear gear. she only rides but refuses to even wear a helmet, and a helmet is ALL he wears, along with shorts. this being after they saw my bike after i wrecked and saw i didnt get hurt because of what i was wearing. some people you just cant get through to.

Got 2 that have taken the msf... one, that just has his head too far up his . Won't take MSF and insisting on getting a litre bike.
Told him flat out he's got his head up his (despite the fact he's management).
