Honestly, I've always rushed in to buying vehicles .. well.. any big purchase really. I don't want to do that this time. I already miss riding, but I'm in a position to sit and wait for the right deal to come along.

I really want something multi-functional. I'm VERY interested in a trackday. (Reading "Twist of the Wrist" right now. Not the cooking one like the lady at Barnes and Nobles reserved for me when I couldn't find the book in stock despite my explicitly stating the authors name multiple times in an apparently feeble attempt to remove any confusion.. the motorcycle one.) I also would really like to do some sport touring, and plan to commute daily on whatever I end up with.
now thats a hard one... i honestly cant recommend anything that is track worthy and that is a good sport tourer & daily commuter. the SV would definately be a good choice as a first track bike. as far as it being a sport tourer... havent seen too many SV's with bags.

Yea.. I'm asking a lot really. I've seen Givi stuff bolted on SV's before. It's not a big bike... but when I say "sport touring" I really mean riding a bike that's comfortable enough to take a weekend trip somewhere on.. to find some good twisties. Not anything coast-to-coast. A BMW R1200, for instance, would be overkill.

I see Convertibars in my future.

Honda 919 with a Corbin seat, Givi bags, and National F16 windscreen. When you wanna go nekkid, take it off.

Reliable, bulletproof motor too!

I've heard great things about these. Definitely a consideration.

I'll take the plastics off my 10, and... voila! Naked bike!
